Recent Research
Most currently, I am working on comparing the effects of organic vs inorganic material on the growth rate of Madagascar Hissing Roaches. The samples are three months old. Both variable groups will be measured for three years.
Before the roaches, I worked on resin defense against a blue-staining fungus carried by bark beetles. I will be co-authored on the published paper coming this fall. The results showed interesting adaptations of O. ips to specific concentrations of resin.
In June of 2021, I worked with researchers on varying burn zones of the Cennetial Forest. We measured vegetative regrowth in plots within moderate and severe zones.
